As you may know, Congress did not extend the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) at the end of 2012. However, the Congressional failure to act only terminated appropriations under the program; the Statute creating the program is still in place and an active law. For this reason, the provisions of VAWA remain in effect. If you participate in the Project-Based Section 8 Program, be sure you continue to use the HUD Form 91066, Certification of Domestic Violence, and HUD Form 91067, VAWA Lease Addendum.
