Course Description
One of the most vital skills for any affordable housing manager is the ability to effectively interview applicants and residents, gathering essential information to determine eligibility. This skill is often a significant weakness among many managers. This training has been designed to address that gap. The 2.5-hour session focuses on the interview process, equipping managers with the concepts and tools needed to conduct successful interviews. The techniques discussed apply to all interview settings, including initial eligibility interviews, interim certifications, and annual recertification. The main focus is on the initial eligibility interview, as it plays a critical role in the housing process. The skills learned in this session will also help managers identify fraud and handle third-party interactions when resolving discrepancies.
Registrations with credit card payment will be accepted until the day before scheduled events.
