Effective maintenance operations are essential for maintaining property value and resident satisfaction in affordable housing. This two-hour live webinar explains proven strategies for managing costs, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring compliance with key legal and safety standards. Attendees will learn how to properly obtain and assess maintenance bids, create long-term preventive maintenance plans, and implement energy-saving initiatives. Special attention will be given to Virginia law on mold, including the requirement to hire certified contractors for mold testing, remediation, and mitigation. Participants will also receive guidance on obtaining bids exclusively from approved, licensed professionals, along with a list of certified mold removal contractors in the state of Virginia. This training provides practical guidance to help owners, agents, and maintenance supervisors manage their properties effectively, minimize liability, and ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
